Wassily Leontief founded the International Input-Output Association (IIOA) in 1986. In the photo at right he is being introduced as the keynote speaker at the 12th IIOA Conference, in New York City in May 1998. He is 92 years old. Karen R. Polenske, President of the IIOA, is doing the introduction.
