Young Researchers' Night
Introduction
The Young Researchers’ Night has become a regular and popular feature of the IIOA Conference since the 2016 IIOA Conference in Seoul, Korea.
This evening event provides an excellent opportunity for networking between attendees of all ages, topic interests, etc. but is primarily trying to focus on the young scholar to develop existing work, new ideas, contacts, friendships, etc. in a non-formal environment and atmosphere. However, not only the young are invited but everyone who feels young and those who want to connect with the young is more than welcome.

Charlie’s Bar & Grill has been selected for the informal networking evening because is the perfect place to unwind. To get away from the hustle and bustle of the rat race.
Charlie’s Bar & Grill, located at the Fisherman’s Wharf complex and adjacent to the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club, was named after the founder of the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club. The spectacular marina backdrop, matched with a relaxing and casual setup makes Charlie’s Bar & Grill the perfect place for dinner with family and friends and corporate functions.

The Young Researchers’ Night will be held at 19.00 on Tuesday, 30th August 2022.
Details of the evening
This is an increasingly popular event. The cut-off will be the first 100 people registering interest. There will be a Quiz Session aka in the 2018 IIOA Conference in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. The Quiz theme(s) will be a surprise for the evening and there will be prizes for the Top Three placed teams.
- Food and drink will be provided.
- Finger buffet will be provided with gluten-free, vegetarian, and meat options as well as a selection of sandwiches.
- Any drinks beyond the vouchers will not be covered and will need to be purchased separately at the bar.
- The cost for the evening will be USD 35.00 per person.
How to Participate
It will be on a first come, first served basis!
If, and only if, the number of participants exceeds the number of available slots, younger scholars will get priority. Please send your email seeking participation to the organizers (listed below) at your earliest convenience. The last date for application is 1st August 2022. The application should contain:
- When completing the Conference Registration process, an early indication of whether you are interested in coming along would be welcome.
- If you are attending, then please register during conference registration
- Payments will be arranged at the Conference Registration Desk from 28th August 2022.
