Weather and GeographyAt the end of June, Seville is very hot, dry, and sunny, with daytime temperatures typically around 35–40 °C and nights near 20 °C, and with almost no rainfall. These conditions reflect the city’s early summer climate, which brings long, bright days and very low precipitation for the entire month. For this reason, it is advisable to bring light clothing, sunscreen, and to stay well hydrated during outdoor activities. Geographically, Seville lies in a broad, low valley along the Guadalquivir River, about 65 km from the Atlantic coast, which limits cooling sea breezes and contributes to the intense heat that characterizes its summers. This inland position, combined with the flat surrounding terrain, makes Seville one of the hottest cities in Europe during the warm season, with sunny, dry weather from June onward. |
